McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a [full-time, part-time] (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Rank –OR– faculty position in the Department of INSERT DEPARTMENT NAME HERE. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to [state department’s mission –OR– educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health] through [state high-level responsibilities: research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service].
Position Key Accountabilities:
The Rank of –OR– faculty in Internal Medicine will [state specific research, teaching, clinical service, administrative and other activities, i.e., provide direct patient care and supervision of medical students and residents in clinic and hospital settings, etc.].
-Participating in the PRACTICE NAME private practice at various Memorial Hermann locations (LOCATION NAMES); including participation in a UT general SPECIALTY NAME physician group call team for coverage.
- Collaborating with other SPECIALTY NAME physicians who will join the private practice.
- Being involved in the recruitment, selection and hiring of new or additional physicians to the group
- Providing feedback regarding office operations including hiring staff, office logistics and new physician recruitment.
- Participating in the education and training of medical students and residents
- Supporting the research mission of the department and university through:
a) Facilitating reasonable and appropriate access to patients by research staff.
b) Assisting when requested with collection of research data including biological specimens and
c) Providing information and education on on-going research studies to potentially eligible research subjects.
