Supervisor, Human Resources
Position Summary
Supervises activities of employees engaged in one or more of the following areas: Recruitment, Employment Services, Compensation Services, Employee Relations, Training & Development, and/or Human Resources Generalist organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborates with management in development, maintenance and implementation of human resources policies and procedures
- Assists leadership within the Human Resources department regarding process improvement, service levels and customer service initiatives.
- Analyzes and resolves to optimize the environment, process and validity of outcomes.
- Ensures an appropriate and consistent level of customer service is delivered across assigned areas.
- Manages professional level and administrative staff.
- Manages technology issues associated with administrative processes, enhanced efficiency and customer experience.
- Assists with the coordination of department web strategy, content, architecture and budget.
- Aligns operational resources and efforts with departmental goals.
- Assists with the compilation of key measurements, trends, and benchmarks for Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations; UTHSC-H policies and procedures; and Regents rules.
- Manages Human Resources activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations and salary-planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills
Human Resources Certifications preferred.
Minimum Education
Bachelor degree in a related discipline or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience
Five years directly related experience.
Physical Requirements
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
