Position Summary:
Provides administrative/technical support for one or more human resources functions.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Provides daily technical support to clients and/or departmental staff members in assigned area of human resources.
2. Researches, compiles, and may analyze data for various projects and reports. May make recommendations to supervisor on Human Resources issues.
3. Processes and/or explains forms to employees and applicants.
4. Provides support to hiring managers, candidates, organizational staff, and HR colleagues in one or more of the following areas: HR information systems (applicant tracking system, HRMS); candidate recruitment/screening; employment processing; compensation administration; training administration; employee relations; and/or equal opportunity.
5. Researches and answers routine to moderately complex questions or issues in compliance with UT-Houston’s policies.
6. Prepares procedures for assigned tasks.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
No certification required.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
One year office or administrative experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
