Human Resources Assistant I (Training)
Position Summary:
Provides general administrative/technical support for one or more human resources functions.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Provides general support to clients and/or departmental staff members in assigned area of human resources.
- Assists in the gathering and compiling of data for the preparation of various activities and HR reports. May analyze and make recommendations to supervisor on Human Resources issues.
- Processes and/or explains forms to employees and applicants.
- Performs one or more of the following objectives:
- Employment verifications
- Prior state service verification
- Process pre-employment paperwork and badges with new employees
- Applicant data entry in database
- Front desk reception
- Assists recruiters with clerical activities
- Provides backup on human resources management and/or financial systems
- Responds to general questions in compliance with UT-Houston’s policies.
- Assists with the preparation of general procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
No certification required.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
No experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
