Assistant Professor, Immunology and Organ Transplantation - Surgery, McGovern Medical School
Position Key Accountabilities:
The candidate, in conjunction with the laboratory director, will ensure laboratory facilities are adequate and safe from physical, chemical, and biological hazards, ensure procedure manual is available to all laboratory personnel and test systems provide quality results. Along with the laboratory director, the candidate also will ensure the laboratory has quality control and quality assurance programs, follows established laboratory policies, documents all quality control activities, including instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. The candidate will assist the laboratory director in ensuring test methodologies selected have the capability of providing quality results required for optimal patient care, rotate on-call duties, and other duties designated by Laboratory Director.
Qualifications:
MD or PhD in an approved science (approved by ASHI DTRC) and must have experience in solid organ transplantation. Board Certification preferred and also accreditation as an ASHI approved director preferred (solid organ transplantation).
