The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center-McGovern Medical School invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. 

The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate professionals, discover and translate advances in science, and model the best practices in clinical care through research, teaching, clinical service, and administrative activities.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Rank of Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology will provide direct patient care and supervision of medical students and residents in clinic and hospital settings by:

-Participating in the private practice at various Memorial Hermann locations,
 including participation in a UT general Obstetrics and Gynecology physician
 group call team for coverage.

-Collaborating with other Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians who will join
 the private practice.

-Participating in the education and training of medical students and residents

-Supporting the research mission of the department and university through:

    a) Facilitating reasonable and appropriate access to patients by research   
        staff.

    b) Assisting when requested with collection of research data including
        biological specimens and

    c) Providing information and education on on-going research studies to
       potentially eligible research subjects.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Required or preferred board certification/eligibility statement. Required or preferred minimum years of clinical experience or years post residency statement.
