The Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School is recruiting for an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, tenure-track (depending on qualifications), in our clinical division of Dementia and Memory Disorders. The division has outpatient clinics, inpatient consultative services, active clinical, translational and basic research, and educates medical and graduate students, neurology residents and fellows.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The prospective candidate would have the opportunity to participate in novel therapeutic intervention, engage in field-leading research, receive support to develop grants and collaborate and submit research findings for publication to advance the scientific knowledge of others. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong interest and expertise in dementia, vascular dementia and other neurocognitive and memory disorders. The prospective candidate would have opportunity to collaborate with a highly reputable group of investigators at UTHealth.

Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) with 4 years of experience in related research environment with verifiable publications.

History of extramural research funding preferred
