Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor - Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, School of Dentistry
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry seeks applicants for several part-time (0.2 – 0.6 FTE) faculty positions in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. The appointment is expected to be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level. The position is available immediately.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities of the position are to provide didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics to undergraduate dental students. Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics education at the School of Dentistry includes but is not limited to dental anatomy and occlusion, direct restorations, indirect fixed and removable restorations, esthetics, implants and digital dentistry.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The School of Dentistry is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, which offers significant resources and important opportunities for collaboration and advanced training. Qualifications:
Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent with prior residency training and/or private practice experience. Advanced training in prosthodontics with board eligibility is highly desirable. Competency in CAD/CAM dental procedures is also desirable. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds and have a strong commitment to inclusion and equity.
