Position Summary:
Requires approval of Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer UT Physicians
Serves as an expert in carrying out the operational responsibilities of patient experience systems, data measurement, analysis, and reporting functions to assist all levels of the practice in achieving goals. This includes all aspects of the patient experience measurement process: Ensuring data integrity associated with technical science behind the tools, meaningful reporting with visualizations, and interpretation of data – both dissected and summarized. In addition, prepares regular and special reports regarding patient experience performance from multiple sources for leadership meetings at all levels, including executive leadership and board of regents.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Oversees analysis of all patient experience tools available to the practice, including survey methodology, transparency, reputation monitoring, complaint programs, and other industry tools.
2. Understands and executes the technical science behind the PX tools, the integrated relationship between all tools, and how they interface with Epic systems.
3. Designs and tailor tools to meet the needs of the practice to deliver the effectiveness and outcomes that are desired.
4. Associates the statistical data to process improvement principles and presents these to all levels of management when requested.
5. Responsible for interpreting and analyzing patient-related experience data. De-construct ambiguous problems, think creatively, generate and test hypotheses.
6. Project lead for multiple large-scale, highly cross-functional projects simultaneously.
7. Ability to communicate analysis findings in a way that achieves understanding and drives outcomes.
8. Synthesize information for and lead the discussion with C-level executives, as well as clinicians and departments.
9. Achieves objectives within prescribed timelines while maintaining quality standards and organization requirements.
10. Responsible for outreach in the organization for collaboration to set the patient experience tools up effectively.
11. Creates training strategies and supports the training initiatives.
12. Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, & Epic software: Must be, at a minimum, an intermediate level user of visualization & statistical software: Such as Tableau and SPSS or an equivalent package. Proficient in program evaluation methods, research skills, management information systems, and strategic planning, database design and analysis, and management information systems.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, public health, health administration, business, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in statistics, public health, health administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Seven (7) years of experience as a manager or director in managing multiple patient experience data, healthcare or business-related data, and information systems in an extensive healthcare system or physician practice.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
