Telepsychiatrists
We are currently recruiting for multiple faculty positions in our telepsychiatry program. Faculty members utilize televideo technology from the comfort of home or local offces to provide psychiatric services to select inpatient facilities
throughout Texas. Minimal travel for site visits will be required and all necessary equipment and technical support will be provided.
Inpatient Psychiatrists (Adult, Child & Adolescent and Geriatric)
Physician Education Loan Repayment Program opportunities are available for eligible inpatient faculty. We seek adult, child & adolescent and geriatric psychiatrists to join our 250-bed, inpatient facility at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC), where faculty enjoy low call volume, stable caseloads and a robust collegial atmosphere. Affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, UTHealth HCPC is the second largest freestanding psychiatric facility in the U.S. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, which awarded UTHealth HCPC a “Top Performer in Key Quality Measures.”
Outpatient Psychiatrists (Adult and Child & Adolescent)
We seek to recruit adult and child & adolescent psychiatrists for multiple outpatient faculty positions at our community based, integrated care clinics. Work closer to home in positions that are currently available throughout the greater Houston area.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences will contribute to the Department's missions of education, research and patient care. The selected candidate will provide direct patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows in outpatient clinic and hospital settings, depending on clinical assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent degree;
- Licensed or license eligible in the State of Texas;
- Board Certifed or Board Eligible in general psychiatry, child & adolescent
- Experience or interest in research and/or education is preferred.
Depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and credentials, faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor will be offered.
