Position Summary:

Performs administrative support and help ensure accurate and timely payments to all employees.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1.    Monitors, researches, and resolves inquiries from a shared Payroll email box and phone line.
2.    Assists with investigating issues related to an employee’s pay.
3.    Updates, maintain and verify employee data for payroll purposes and research discrepancies.
4.    Assists with overpayment process and sending out due diligence letters.
5.    Assists with setting up pay cards. 
6.    Files and scans payroll documents after payrolls are completed.
7.    Assists with data entry for vacation payout process.
8.    Compiles data into spreadsheets and build reports.
9.    Assists with special projects as assigned by management.
10.    Serves as back up presenting new hire orientation to new employees onboarding.
11.    Serves as back up for office/travel purchases.
12.    Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) in a business setting.
  • Possess strong work ethic, with attention to detail & significant level of accuracy.
  • Have good organizational skills and professional customer service skills.
  • Must be an effective team player, respect others, and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience and good math/accounting aptitude.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll processes and system.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

Six (6) months of comparable office experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). PowerPoint proficiency is preferred. Must possess and exhibit exceptional customer service skills via phone and email.
 

Physical Requirements:

Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
