Position Summary:
Provides expertise in the design, development, and implementation of projects in support of Human Resources Technology. Works with various stakeholders at different levels of the organization to manage projects and improve transparency. Provides appropriate and timely project communication in various formats.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Plans and manages multiple concurrent projects. Drives project related change management.
2. Works with stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of business need, define the project goals and charter.
3. Supports Human Resources by driving to develop and manager project plan deliverables and timeline with a focus on standardization, simplification, and alignment of strategic objectives.
4. Facilitates project team review meetings to ensure the project team works effectively to achieve objectives and follows established governance for intake (i.e. requests and enhancements), bug fixes, releases and related configuration, testing and migration to production environment.
5. Develops, owns, and maintains project documents (i.e. project plan, action logs, issues logs, decision logs, etc.).
6. Manages work through the design, build, test, and deploy phases and provides weekly status reporting, risk and issue log, and plan updates.
7. Appropriately escalates issues that would jeopardize projects, deliverables and timelines. Tracks issues while driving ownership and resolution.
8. Supports the maintenance of the product backlog with the HR Tech product managers.
9. Ensures each project phase is completed, reviewed, and signed off by sponsor/appropriate stakeholder(s).
10. Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and access to information.
11. Delivers value by leading project teams and by driving effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and other managers.
12. Builds relationships of trust across functions; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals, and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
13. Anticipates the needs, risks and challenges of projects.
14. Continues to improve knowledge and skills by utilizing learning tools, programs, etc.
15. Create test plans and documents to enhance system updates and/or upgrades.
16. Evaluates and analyzes current business processes, recommends improvements and leads the design of new business processes and systems.
17. Configures the HRIS systems to meet the business requirements.
18. Troubleshoots and resolves issues within HRIS systems.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
PMP Certification highly preferred
SHRM Certification preferred
Previous project experience
Experienced in HR business process systems, processes, and procedures, including requirements gathering and solution design.
Experienced in HR technology systems (i.e. Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Taleo, etc.)
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, a business-related field or related experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of business/technical experience. Demonstrated ability for project management, forecasting, marketing, policy review and formation, business systems, data analysis, and organizational effectiveness.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
