Job Summary:

Plans and provides overall management of special projects to assure its completion within budgetary and time limits in order to enhance the overall operation of UT Physicians. Evaluates and reports on special projects in accordance with applicable guidelines, principles, practices, tools, and techniques; and in accordance with UTHealth policies and procedures.
Additional Summary Specific to Job:
- Oversees and ensures the coordination of the project team during the planning and application process. Develops project plans in order to determine the timelines associated with the project.
- Tracks project progress and manages expectations through successful project completion and provides contingency plans to assure project objectives are met.
- Oversees, and may perform, project activities including assessment, design, schedule, evaluation, reporting, and communication.
- Ensures project controls, tracking and performance measurement, reporting, and project objectives are met.
- Works with UT counsel to ensure compliance with project-applicable federal, state, local, and UT System regulations.
- Determines the most effective and efficient project delivery methods.
- Utilizes evidence-based principles, practices, tools, and techniques for health care delivery projects.
- Oversees the documentation of all project processes in preparation for implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
- Manages Human Resource functions for the department with regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
- Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Seven years of related experience or advance degree can compensate for years of experience
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Ability to conduct needs assessments and perform data mining
- Actuarial skill set working with population management in the Texas region.
- Valuation of future savings through preventative healthcare.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Project and people management experience.
- Project Management ?and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
