Our Onboarding Process: Employment with UTHealth
Employee
Meetings
Our Benefits and Payroll teams will meet with you
to share vital information regarding our benefits, payroll, and timekeeping
system(s).
Submit a
Profile
All individuals who will be joining UTHealth will need to create a
profile via the UTHealth Careers website. It is
important that you complete the profile in its entirety and upload a current
resume (optional). To assist in verifying all prior work experience, please
ensure all entries reflect accurate dates of employment and check all boxes so
that we may contact your previous employers (failure to do so will result in
clearance delay). We will send all correspondence, including instructions to
accept an offer, to the e-mail address you provide on your profile.
Offers of
Employment
You will receive an e-mail from HR@UTHealth.com with a link to your offer of employment after the
profile and resume (optional) have been successfully received and reviewed. The
offer letter will include your title, rate of pay and intended date for
transitioning to UTHealth. The offer of
employment will be contingent upon successful completion of the background and
pre-employment process. All new hires are subject to a six (6) month
probationary period.
Pre-Employment
Process
Our pre-employment
process consists of the completion of our employment documents, verification of
work eligibility, and completion of a background check and health screen which
includes a drug screen. Upon receipt of your acceptance to the offer of
employment, you will receive a second e-mail from HR@UTHealth.com with an
attachment of your Health History Questionnaire and instructions on completing
your part of the I-9. Within 24-48 hours after accepting your offer you should
receive an e-mail from “rapidresponse” with instructions on completing your
drug test. Depending upon the nature of your position you may be
required to receive and/or provide evidence of additional immunizations. Once you are cleared you will receive a final e-mail from
HR@UTHealth.com letting
you know you are cleared to start.
New
Employee Orientation
At your Orientation session, you will receive an
overview of our organization and benefits and payroll processes.
Our offer
of employment is contingent upon a signed agreement between UTHealth and your
organization and that you are still employed on the date of transition which is
currently set for XX/XX/XXXX.
