Staff Dentist, UT Dentists - Dental Service Research and Development Plan (DSRDP) Faculty Practice Plan
Position Key Accountabilities:
Examine, diagnose and treat individuals requesting dental/oral care; prescribe and perform dental/oral treatment, and/or refer individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines. The Staff Dentist is responsible for providing clinical care to UT Dentists patients while working closely with dental faculty providers regarding patient care coordination and referral management.
Preferred Scheduled Work Hours & Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 8am - 5pm
Qualifications:
Certification/Skills:
Current Texas State Dental License.
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient experience with Electronic Health Record systems
Minimum Education:
Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from accredited dental school. Completion of an accredited General Practice Residency (GPR) Program, preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care, CDT coding and standard documentation guidelines. Experienced in treating both children and adults; proficient understanding of clinical operations in a private practice setting. Experience with dental practice health record systems and digital imaging. Nitrous certification, preferred.
Proficient or conversant in Spanish, a plus.
